A call for Flynn fan art to be included in the official art book!

As development is coming to a close and console porting is currently in full force, we're in the process of finishing up the art book! 


To anyone that has done fan art in the past, or wants to do new fan art for Flynn, we'd love to include your art in the book! It will be in a special fan art section, along with your name attached to the art. We'd just love to get your permission to include it. :) 


Please let us know if you have art you've already finished or if you'd like some time to work on a new piece. You have until July 15th! 


We will only accept high resolution image files of digital or scanned traditional art. We won't be able to include any photos of an art piece, sorry!

Flynn's Beta and Release news

Hello Flynn friends, been a while! As we near the end of development, these updates get a little more difficult, so we're sorry for the delay. As always, if we're quiet, we're just working hard :) Now have some news on the release!

Beta Backers

No we haven't forgotten about you Beta backers! As a quick update on the Beta, we're going to officially be reaching the Beta stage veeery soon, so we will keep everyone updated on the delivery of the test build! For anyone worried about game spoilers, the beta test build is going to be a custom area and mostly combat focused, not a portion of the story. So the only spoilers will be how cool our boy Flynn is ;)

Release news

With news of Beta of course comes news of the release date. We want to be perfectly open about this to all of you so you're not in the dark! We're currently scheduled to wrap development this year. Along with that, we've had to make a tough decision with the release date, that being either a simultaneous release, or PC first before consoles. We've decided to go for the simultaneous release to have the biggest impact possible, available on all platforms at once rather than a staggered release. We're already working with a great team that will get going on porting Flynn the instant we're finished. With that, the release has to sadly be pushed to 2021. We hope everyone understands, Flynn is our baby we've spent years crafting, so we want to make sure it has the strongest release possible.

Now the fun stuff

We've had quite a lot of progress lately with boss battles, final touches on levels, working out cutscenes, and even bringing a new artist on to the team (working on the final boss fight, so we'll announce his Thunderhorse arrival soon when we can post something non-spoilery!). Here are some nice pixels to look at! We've put together some videos with official music from our favorite composer Jacob Lincke below, hope you like them!

Flynn progress update with gameplay!

Hey Crimson babies, we just wanted to send out a quick on update on how progress has been during the current world situation, and give you some Flynn gameplay to look at!

We've done our best to keep development going at a steady rate, and Flynn is as healthy as ever! Each member of the team has had their own experience with quarantine, as we are based in several states in the US, as well as England and Sweden. We're lucky to work remotely, so we can continue the same way, but we're doing our best to take care of our personal mental health through this difficult time. We hope all of you are doing well through this tough time!

We thought now would be a nice time to give you something a bit longer to look at, so here's an early gameplay video of Cardinal Island!

Welcoming Flynn to 2020!

Hey Flynn fans, we hope you've all had a good start to 2020 so far! It has been a little while since our last update, and we do apologize for the silence. We're still working full time and putting everything we can in to the game, so rest assured our silence doesn't mean any delays are happening in development! Sometimes we just have to keep game secrets for the final release ya know, but here are a bunch of GIFs to look at as usual!

Lately we've been working on quite a lot of level design and implementing environments like the Grand Archives of the Shivering Spire above. As well as implementing the world map which you'll see soon enough!
